Last month a fully customised Gola taxi hit the streets of London as part of an exciting PR activation, launched at the London Fashion Week show in collaboration with Maximilian Raynor and will circulate around London’s iconic streets until the 13th of March 2026.
From the buzz of fashion week to the bustling city, it was a bold way to celebrate creativity and classic Gola style on the move, all whilst putting Gola on the map, quite literally. Instagrammers were also tasked with snapping the cab and sharing on social to be in with a chance of winning a pair of Gola trainers.
British heritage footwear brand Gola Classics partnered with Maximilian Raynor to sponsor his London Fashion Week AW26 catwalk show and after-party. Held at 100 Shoreditch, Gola was worn by models on the runway, including reworked and bespoke pairs, and featured in an immersive installation both on and off the catwalk.
Maximilian Raynor, a bold British fashion designer, is redefining contemporary style with drama, storytelling and sustainability at its core. Gola Classics has followed Raynor’s continued rise within the industry, where he creates pieces that blur gender boundaries and celebrate individuality, and was thrilled when the opportunity to collaborate presented itself.
Gola Classics Marketing Director Donna Hill said:
“From the early stages of the collaboration with Maximilian, we have been delighted by his attention to detail, his acknowledgement of Gola’s rich history, and the way he wove Gola’s story into the show. The natural and fluid synergy between our brands has been remarkable.”
The Show
Models wore Gola trainers on the catwalk, featuring menswear heritage styles including Cascade, Elan, Tornado, Torpedo and Harrier, alongside womenswear styles such as Cascade, Elan, Tornado, Firefly, Stadia and Stadium ’86 as well as the iconic unisex Redford messenger bag.
Within the show, Maximilian Raynor’s heartbroken muse wore Gola trainers while roaming the London streets, seeking revitalisation from his melancholy. As the narrative unfolded, guests journeyed back to Gola’s founding year of 1905, immersing themselves in the bustling Victorian market streets of London. A vibrant scene filled with carts of fresh produce and exotic fruits reflected the promise and energy of the Industrial Revolution, capturing the essence of the era in which Gola was born.
The show underscored Gola’s timelessness and transformative power, creating an immersive and visionary fashion experience.
The Installation
Guests experienced a dramatic, custom-built installation by Maximilian Raynor that invited them to time travel back to the 1960s and 1970s, blending modern-day London with the era when sportswear became iconic.
Gola Classics worked closely with Maximilian Raynor on all aspects of the installation and show. The entrance installation was particularly striking, featuring threads of Gola laces woven into a web, symbolically connecting moments in time throughout Gola’s legacy with the era-bending narrative from Maximilian’s imagination.
To enhance the theme of time passing and celebrate the years of Gola’s classicism, alongside the narratives woven into Maximilian’s characters’ backstories, the web also contained handwritten love letters, pocket watches, vintage socks, trinkets and more. Samples featured within the installation reflected both brands’ commitment to conscious fashion, offering new life to deadstock materials.
With both Gola Classics and Maximilian Raynor worn and loved by global celebrities, the balance of artistry and wearability showcased in Raynor’s collection aligned seamlessly with Gola’s heritage and innovation.
In the dynamic world of fashion, staying ahead of the curve is key to making a statement with every step. As a heritage brand with a modern twist, Gola has been at the forefront of footwear innovation, blending classic designs with contemporary flair. This season, we’re thrilled to spotlight six captivating women’s trainer trends that are turning heads and setting the tone for stylish strides. From the gym to the streets, these trends reflect the perfect fusion of comfort, performance, and undeniable chic. Join us as we explore the hottest sneakers that every fashion-forward woman needs to add to her collection, courtesy of Gola.
The coloured trainer
Taken the spring/summer ’24 season by storm is the coloured trainer. Sported by the fashion pack and everyday Joe alike, the coloured sneaker has stayed top of our radar. No matter your colour of choice, there’s a shade for everyone. All you need is a staple, classic trainer shape that won’t detract for the statement pop and you’re onto a winner.
Take our Gola Elan trainer. When it comes to heritage sports, we have a tale to tell and Elan’s 1971 roots as a multi-purpose training shoe authentically put this claim into action. An old school gum sole in just the right vintage tone is reminiscent of days in the gym, which perfectly offsets the colour for a real balance of heritage and modernity. The striking colour combinations we have this season, such as this sun yellow with white wingflash.
There’s no wonder it is loved by Sheerluxe. Our alternative colourways and even this sun yellow have had just as much love all over the world. Selling out as quickly as we can get them in, Gola Elan is the hottest women’s trainer of the season.
The chunky trainer
A forever favourite, the chunky trainer is here to stay. Is there anything better than your wide leg denim and a pair of retro-feel, chunky-soled trainers? Say hello to Gola’s Saturn Quadrant. This all-new midsole takes us back to ‘90s aerobics silhouettes and is complemented with an authentic gum outsole. These trainers just have the right amount of colour to make a statement but still go with everything. Coming in a few hot colourways that while are true to SS24, they’re expertly designed by our forward-thinking Gola designers to always be on trend.
Make a rebellious statement with a true fashion edge in Saturn Quadrant this season and beyond. Imagine with striped shirts and denim maxis, there’s endless ways to style a chunky trainer. Cargos and white baby tees will look fresh paired with this energised sneaker, while your can level up a black dress with a retro colour pop.
The sleek sneaker
Upgrade your white trainers with some on-trend colours for an updated take on the look everyone loves. Timeless and elegant, the slim-look of the Gola Torpedo Leather trainers descends from its 1985 Gola back catalogue ancestor. A sister style to our much-loved Tornado style, these Torpedo trainers in a crisp white leather have our signature wingflash branding and a coloured heel tab for a pretty pop of freshness. These are never going to look dated thanks to their white-trainer appeal. Gola handwriting in its genes, the almond shape toe and integrated gum toe bumper, this train is an intrinsic part of the our evolution.
Perfect paired with jeans and an oversized graphic tee, these sleek trainers will equally work with your summer maxi dresses. Heralded by Sheerluxe as our “most versatile design”, you can expect to see Torpedo Leather go international.
The retro trainer
An easy everyday favourite that boasts high style appeal, Gola Hawk is a new addition to the Gola Classics collection. Being both court-sport and heritage-inspired, this sleek silhouette of a sneaker combines leather, suede and mesh for a timeless look that will look fresh season upon season. Giving off a relaxed ‘80s vibe, this stylish Gola trainer is complemented with a two-colour cup sole, coloured wingflash and heel tab, and gold branding accents.
Perfect worn with split hem jeans or your favourite denim midi skirt, these trainers have been popular for their retro feel while keeping a sophisticated, clean and contemporary look.
The fashion trainer
Never knew you needed lilac trainers? We just can’t look back. A modern colourway of a fresh lilac purple contrasted with Santorini blue accents, the Gola Tornado trainer is sweeping in at the speed its name suggests. Bringing a spring climate with the colour but a vintage feel with a terrace, slight-wedge gum sole, the heavy weave nylon upper is complemented with matching suede trims to the toe, heel and lace facing and is contrasted with beautiful blue Gola wingflash side trim with sawtooth edges.
Old skool trainers at their finest, Tornado has been loved by the likes of Sheerluxe and our Gola community for its striking colour.
The metallic trainer
As impactful as its name suggests, Gola’s Superslam Blaze is certainly blazing onto the scene. Cut in a shape not dissimilar to the classic Grandslam Trident, Superslam Blaze is a confident choice for those who love a vibrant metallic sneaker. Continuing to rule Gola’s bestselling list, these gorgeous trainers are the newest incarnation to our collection. With a muted gold upper and complemented with all the right Gola signatures, these metallic sneakers are essential for the fashion-forward. The 20% smooth recycled PU main body upper makes this classic a responsible choice for those who love to add a new trainer to their shoedrobe.
Metallic pops will stay so make sure to add these dreamy trainers to your wish list. Team with solid shades to make a powerful statement, these will look good in the summer sunshine but also in autumn/winter to brighten up your cosier looks.
As we wrap up our journey through the top women’s sneaker trends, it’s clear that this season is all about blending functionality with fashion. Gola’s latest collection encapsulates this philosophy, offering trainers that not only perform impeccably but also elevate your style game. Whether you’re drawn to the retro revival, the allure of sustainable materials, or the boldness of vibrant colors, there’s a Gola trainer ready to match your unique aesthetic and lifestyle needs.

With the rise of veganism as a lifestyle choice and with many of you querying which of our styles are vegan-friendly, Gola is proud to announce the launch of its Gola Classics Vegan range.
But is it really Vegan?
“How can Gola verify that it’s vegan?” we hear you ask. Well, each and every style in the Vegan range has undergone rigorous Ve-MAP chemical testing. Ve-MAP is a new, unique DNA-based testing procedure within the Chem-MAP® family. The testing process identifies any trace of animal DNA from chemicals within our footwear and the manufacturing process. This includes:
Chemicals used in the fabrics
Other materials such as the sole
Dyes
Adhesives
Finishing components
High risk chemicals are tested to confirm that there is no trace of any animal-derived products, therefore providing authenticity of their animal-free composition.
Don’t just take our word for it: the Gola Classics Vegan range has also been registered by the Vegan Society, the oldest vegan organisation in the world. Founded in 1944 the Vegan Society is a world leader in its field and Gola has partnered with them to give customers additional reassurances.
The collection boasts style!
We have styles for women, men and your mini-me’s! Our range includes the ladies’ Coaster in various styles: Classic, Rainbow, Hi-Tops and Mirror, while we also have our very popular Mark Cox style in a range of colours. A pair of trainers with your dress is undoubtedly one of the chicest and breeziest style combinations this season.
Trainers with a skirt or dress will not only add a dash of nonchalance to your look, but will provide the ease of movement you desire when zipping around town. If you love anything shiny, then you will fall for Coaster Mirror. If you prefer a hi-top, then Coaster High in black or in off white will be a great addition to your shoe-drobe. Our most popular lines are Coaster Rainbow with the rainbow stripes down the side, as well as Tennis Mark Cox in a selection of colours, re: dark green, deep red, Indian teal, vintage blue and blossom.
Our men’s collection includes Comet and Comet Canvas, as well as Tennis Mark Cox and Varsity. If you’re on the lookout for some super convenient footwear that will easily go with your jeans or shorts, it’s only natural to look for a pair of Gola Classics Vegan that will best suit your style. Both Varsity and Comet come in a variety of colour combinations: from navy & powder blue, to deep red & white, there’s a style to suit your needs.
For your mini-me, you can choose between Coaster Rainbow, Coaster Rainbow Velcro and Coaster Velcro. Colourful, easy to put on and off and as comfortable as all Gola styles, they’ll be very much enjoyed by your little ones.
Fashion trends are all well and good, but what you really want is a classic in your wardrobe. That one item you can go back to again and again and know you will feel and look amazing – your trusty pair of trainers!
At the moment the trend is chunky (and pretty ugly) trainers, where you need to either have legs as long as time to pull them off or style to rival an A-Lister. For the rest of us it is a strange trend, and here at Gola we are all about the classics, the styles you can keep forever and never get bored of, so here are some of our favourite Gola Classics styles that will be your wardrobe staple for a long long time.
The Bullet was originally launched in 1976 and was originally designed as a running shoe for athletes, over the years the trainer has become more of a fashion trainer and has had numerous updates to ensure it is both comfortable and durable. The simple sleek likes of the Bullet means you can pair with both summer dresses or jeans, and the colour options mean you really have something for every outfit. Our favourite is the classic Black/White Bullet.
The women’s coaster is a vulcanised sole plimsoll, the style is popular as it literally goes wit anything! The Coaster was re-introduced into the Gola Classics collection in SS17 and became a best seller, the Coaster Rainbow is one of our most popular Coaster designs – so much so we sell out on a regular basis! Make sure you keep your eye out for the next drop in September – get them before they go!
The Harrier, the most popular men’s Gola Classics style is seen on an array of celebrities like Noel Gallagher to comedian Al Murray. Originally created in 1968 the Harrier was created for athletes to train in, now like the previously mentioned Bullet, it has been updated for a modern trainer lover. Available in an array of colours you can find a pair to suit any mood.
The men’s Coaster is a vulcanised sole plimsoll (like the women’s) and comes with rubber or gum soles, the classic simple style is key to its longstanding success and can be worn in winter with our leather styles and summer with the canvas. Why not buy a pair now, you won’t regret it.
When fashion trends talk, we listen. This season bright, bold colours are the talk of the fashion town and we have three women’s Gola trainers that are ticking all the boxes for this trend.
The Gola Classics women’s Coaster Neon collection celebrates colour. The simple silhouette of the women’s Coaster trainer is a perfect canvas for the bright colours, making each style the statement of your outfit. The three colourways are Neon Coral, a bold Coral colour which paired with a pair of white jeans and a denim shirt would make a summer statement. The Coaster Neon Yellow is a highlighter yellow colourway, team this with dark denim to really make your shoes stand out. The Coaster Neon Pastel Pink is the last colourway, this style is girly and vibrant and can be paired with a summer dress or jeans.
The women’s Gola Classics Coaster trainer was first introduced into the Gola collection in the 70’s and has since become a firm favourite, the style has a vulcanised sole and canvas upper creating a trainer that is versatile and comfortable.
Olivia’s style is the perfect blend of cool, classic and contemporary, and her blog — What Olivia Did — has become a go-to guide for beauty, fashion and lifestyle.
Inspired by Spotify, Pinterest and the style on the streets of London, Olivia’s look is fresh and relaxed with a feminine twist, making her an obvious choice for the campaign.
Gola Classics
Olivia rated Gola Classics as colourful, current and extremely practical — basically able to go with pretty much anything and comfortable enough to walk in for hours on end. More than that, she loved how these shoes look both classic and on trend at the same time, which gives them a retro appeal which is really ‘of the moment’.
Olivia’s chosen style was the Gola Classics Women’s Tennis Trainers. Integrating flawlessly with her personal look, she loves how classic they are, that she can style them with jeans or a dress, and that they perfectly complement her girly style.
If you want an everyday but super stylish outfit, Olivia suggests matching Gola Tennis Trainers with pale blue wash jeans, a white T-shirt and a bomber jacket. The perfect combo for that laidback, ‘just-thrown-on’ look.
Gola Classics Women’s Specialist Trainers
Next up were our Gola Classics Women’s Specialist Trainers, a great option when you want to add a pop of colour to your look. Olivia chose Specialist in sky blue but you can get the style in loads of different colours, from gold to navy.
Her top tip if you treat yourself to a pair of Gola Specialist Trainers is to wear them with something in a similar colour for a relaxed yet stylishly coordinated look.

We are absolutely delighted to welcome back the Gola x Liberty Art Fabrics collaboration for AW15, with a whole new host of their floral, pattern and paisley fabrics used on the Gola Classics range.
For any of you that may have missed it, we first collaborated with the amazing London-based brand back in 2013, producing a beautifully feminine range of lades’ shoes and bags which captured the hearts of people all over the world. Now, they’re back for more as we continue this marvelous relationship of two quintessentially British brands on a mission to create high quality footwear and bags with an unmistakable floral image.
Who are Liberty?
Liberty Art Fabrics have a long and lustrous heritage which all started in 1875 when a certain Arthur Lasenby Liberty opened an Eastern bazaar-inspired store on Regent Street, London. Customers flocked to his store to browse and purchase Liberty’s ornaments, fabrics and other works of art which fueled a shop expansion within the first eighteen months.
Since then, Liberty products have remained irresistible to consumers and now the brand is adored all around the world. Below, we have pulled out some of our favourite pieces from the Gola x Liberty Art Fabrics AW15 collection, but you can browse them all online.
Our first footwear choice is the gorgeous slip-on Delta plimsoll in navy / blue. This easy-going design comes with chunky sole, twin gusset and an eye-catching all over print. Second, Liberty re-imagine our Samurai with another of their stunning floral prints, this time adorned on an 80s-inspired silhouette with a suede and nylon upper.
