At Gola, we believe that our shared planet should be safeguarded for future generations. We're constantly making planet-conscious choices to drive Gola towards reducing its carbon output.
As such we're putting sustainability at the heart of everything we do. From our sustainable sneaker styles featuring recycled components to our fully recyclable cardboard shoe boxes, our mission is to reduce our carbon output.
We recognise that our journey towards sustainability will take time, our commitment is to keep learning as we grow so we can do more to protect the planet.
Here are some of the things we've already put in place to become a more planet-conscious, sustainable sneaker choice:
Our shoe boxes are made from 100% recycled cardboard and are fully recyclable. Each of our boxes includes Micro-Pak's Biodegradable Dry Clay® Kraft, a plastic-free desiccant finished in FSC-Certified Kraft paper, which outperforms synthetic desiccants such as Silica Gel and protects our shoes from mould and moisture damage.

We've consciously removed all plastic from our packaging, including fillers and labelling. We're making similar efforts with our postal packaging, with all parcels being shipped in plastic bags made from a minimum of 50% recycled plastic.

Our printed materials are FSC sourced, which guarantees that the forests they come from are managed to preserve biodiversity and benefit the lives of local people and workers. They are also recycled and World Land Trust Certified. All printed materials are also fully recyclable.

Since AW '23, 85% of the PU used for our main uppers comes from recycled sources. All footwear featuring recycled components is easily identifiable by a recycled logo in the product's imagery on our website. From 2024, some of our bags will also feature recycled components.
